At SpeakBrit, we want to help you learn English in a safe and fun way. This page explains how we look after your information.

1. Who are we?

We are SpeakBrit, an online English school based in the UK. Our job is to keep your data safe while you learn with our teachers.

2. What information do we collect?

• When you join: We ask for a name and an email address (usually your parent’s email).
• While you learn: We keep track of which lessons you’ve finished and your quiz scores so you can see how much you are improving!
• In class: If you join a live lesson, the teacher will see your face and hear your voice.

3. Who sees my information?

• Your Teachers: Our teachers see your name and progress so they can help you learn better.
• Your Parents: Since they handle the subscription, they can see your account details.
• Safe Partners: We use secure companies to handle payments and send emails. We never sell your name or email to other companies so they can show you ads.

4. Safety First (Safeguarding)

Because your safety is our number one priority, we sometimes record lessons. These recordings are kept in a “digital vault” and are only looked at if we need to make sure everyone is being kind and safe.

5. Your Rights

Even though you are a student, it is your data. You (or your parents) can ask us at any time to:

• See what information we have about you.
• Fix anything that is wrong.
• Delete your information if you decide to leave the school.
