Lucinda teaches English to children online, and has done so across the full primary and secondary age range — from four-year-olds meeting their first English words to teenagers preparing for exams.

She holds a CTEFL qualification completed with an observed teaching practicum, so her teaching has been assessed in a real classroom rather than through an online course alone. She also holds a BA in English and an MA awarded with Distinction.

Alongside her online teaching, Lucinda spent two years tutoring children with special educational needs and children who had been permanently excluded from mainstream school, working for Devon County Council. That experience shapes how she teaches: patiently, without pressure, and with a clear focus on rebuilding a child's confidence before anything else.

She is particularly comfortable with children who understand more English than they will say out loud — the quiet ones, the ones who freeze when asked to speak in class. Her lessons are structured, calm and built around small wins.

Lucinda holds a current Enhanced DBS certificate with a Children's Barred List check, and is trained in safeguarding to Level 4 and in the Prevent duty.
