About the Programme

The Junior Scholars programme is designed for children aged 7 to 9 who are ready to move beyond basic vocabulary and begin forming structured, confident English communication.

At this stage, children are developing critical thinking, reading fluency and structured sentence formation. Our programme strengthens these foundations while keeping learning engaging and confidence-building — combining academic structure with genuine, interactive discussion.

Common Questions

How long is each class and how often?
Two 30-minute live sessions every week — each is 25 minutes of teaching plus a 5-minute Q&A and recap. Short, focused sessions hold young children's attention far better than one long class.
Group or 1-on-1 — which is better?
Groups (max 5) are brilliant for confidence and value; private is the fastest, fully personalised route. We'll recommend the right fit at your free assessment, and you can switch any time.
Does my child need to be fluent already?
Not at all. Junior Scholars suits children with basic English who are ready for structured development. We guide every child at an appropriate pace.
Is there a long contract?
No — it's monthly rolling, cancel any time. Families enrolling more than one child also receive a 10% sibling discount.
Are teachers DBS checked?
Yes. Every SpeakBrit teacher holds a valid Enhanced DBS certificate before teaching a single session.
