About the Programme

The Teen Scholars programme is designed for students aged 13 to 15 โ€” the crucial secondary-school years when strong English becomes the foundation for success across every subject.

We build the writing precision, spoken confidence and exam technique that GCSE-level study demands, while keeping lessons genuinely engaging โ€” so your teenager grows from competent to genuinely accomplished.

Common Questions

How long is each class and how often?
One 60-minute live session every week โ€” 50 minutes of teaching plus 10 minutes of review and feedback. A full hour gives enough time to draft, discuss and redraft a piece of work properly, and one fixed weekly slot is far easier to protect around school and homework.
Group or 1-on-1 โ€” which is better?
Groups (max 5) are excellent for debate, discussion and hearing how other students tackle the same task; private is the fastest, fully personalised route. We'll recommend the right fit at your free assessment, and you can switch any time.
Is this the same as GCSE tutoring?
It's the English foundation GCSE success is built on โ€” confident writing, analysis, speaking and exam technique โ€” rather than subject cramming. Many students use it alongside school to get ahead.
Is there a long contract?
No โ€” it's monthly rolling, cancel any time. Families enrolling more than one child also receive a 10% sibling discount.
Are teachers DBS checked?
Yes. Every SpeakBrit teacher holds a valid Enhanced DBS certificate, including a check against the Children's Barred List, before teaching a single session. There are no exceptions.
