About Sarah
Sarah is based in North West England and teaches adults aged 18 and above at SpeakBrit. She is CELTA qualified, with experience in both online group lessons and one-to-one teaching. Her approach is friendly and student-centred, with a clear priority: learners should enjoy developing their skills.
Her adult teaching experience covers learners from pre-intermediate through to advanced level, with support across speaking, listening, reading and writing. Grammar and vocabulary are part of that work, helping learners build the language they need to express themselves more clearly.
At SpeakBrit, Sarah’s focus is Spoken English, General English and Business English. Whether the goal is an everyday conversation or communicating more comfortably at work, her teaching connects English practice with the learner’s needs.
Before becoming an English teacher, Sarah built a career in communications and held senior roles in the NHS, including Head of Communications at NHS England. That background gives her Business English teaching a useful professional perspective: she understands the importance of communicating clearly, whether the goal is a workplace discussion or getting an idea across with confidence.
Alongside teaching, Sarah has supported other educators through professional development sessions and the introduction of new materials and projects. Creative lesson design and a focus on the learner run through both sides of her work.
